Remote Learning

Please look carefully at the times on the timetable for this week as they differ slightly due to Miss Brough having an extra day in school.
We also have a virtual educational visit on Thursday morning.

I have uploaded a timetable to show our approach to remote learning activities. Throughout the week, you are required to join in all of the live lessons and complete the work which has been set.

Please note these lessons will be recorded so they can be accessed at a later date.

Please note there will be no live lessons for the 'Active Tuesday', 'Wellbeing Wednesday' or 'Arts and Crafts Afternoon'. These sessions are for learning to take place away from the screen.

I will upload any materials that you need to support your learning in the space below and on TEAMS. I look forward to seeing you all on TEAMS. I have made it so that all of these lessons can be answered either using pencil/pen and paper (a photograph can be taken on this work so it can be uploaded on TEAMS) or on Microsoft Word. All of these tasks can be completed without printing any worksheets.

If you are finding the TEAMS sessions or Y6 activities too challenging,  please go to the SEND homepage where Miss Simpson has provided a range of activities for children with complex needs or differing abilities.

Miss Brough

Submitting your work on TEAMS.

In order to make it easier to find your work, I would like you to submit your work on TEAMS. You can choose to submit your work by uploading a photograph or by completing the editable word documents. Using this tool also allows for Mr Fieldwick and Mrs Cox to see all of your fantastic work!

Please see the guides below to help you with this. If you need any additional support, please contact me or ask a friend to guide you through this :)

So far, we have had lots of success with submitting our work through TEAMS. Keep it up Year 6!

To find the resources you need, click on the chalkboard for the week we are on below. I have then created a page for each day of the week. This should make it easier to find the resources you need.

Welcome to Class 6's Page

Welcome back to the start of another fantastic school year. This year, the team in Year 6 will be:

Teacher - Miss S. Brough

Teaching Assistant - Mrs A. Wilkinson

The class will also be taught each Friday afternoon by Mrs A. Wilkinson.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Contact

Whilst either myself or Mrs Wilkinson will be on the school door at the beginning of each day to welcome your child into the classroom, unfortunately, due to the current situation, it will be more challenging for me to communicate with you face-to-face on a daily basis. However, I would like to reassure you that if you need to contact me, you are able to do do by either contacting the school office on 01623 625552 and leaving me a message or by dropping me an email: sbrough@intakefarm.notts.sch.uk

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Physical Education

Year 6 will have P.E. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please ensure that your child wears the correct P.E. kits for school on these days.

P.E. Kits:

Black / blue joggers
White polo shirt

Black / blue jacket

P.E. trainers

As P.E. is an essential part of the curriculum, your child is required to take part. If your child is unable to take part in P.E. written notification will be required.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Homework

Your child will bring home a piece of English or Maths homework each Friday. They will need to complete this and return it to school by the following Wednesday.

Reading is a fundamental skill that will help your child with all areas of the curriculum. As we are unable to send books home at the moment, I would like your child to practise their comprehension skills on Read Theory. All of your children have been trained in how to access this in school. https://readtheory.org/auth/login

Home Learning

If your child is unable to come to school as they are self-isolating, please make use of the lessons available on the links below.
