Drawing Club (FS2) 

Drawing Club blends drawing, imagination and storytelling to deepen children’s language and narrative understanding. Each session is inspired by a high-quality text, film clip, or image that sparks curiosity. Children draw scenes, characters or ideas and then use their drawings as a catalyst for talk, vocabulary building and early writing.

Drawing Club helps children to:

• Build rich vocabulary
• Develop comprehension and narrative structure
• Create and share imaginative ideas
• Move from drawing into more formal writing with confidence

Through this approach, children become storytellers, artists and writers all at once, with drawing as the bridge between imagination and literacy.
